Sri Lanka goes High Tea this April – Dilmah Real High Tea Challenge comes to the Isle of Tea!

A unique and varied culinary tradition, abounding hospitality, exotic tropics and heart warming smiles – this is Sri Lanka in a nutshell. Home of the finest tea on earth and also the Home of Dilmah welcomes the Dilmah Real High Tea Challenge with open arms – between a land that knows its tea and a quaint British tradition that is being reinvented and redefined by our very own home-grown Sri Lankan tea brand, there is much to be expected from this little paradise isle, tucked away in a precious place in the middle of the Indian Ocean, caressed by the ocean breeze.

The winner will get to compete alongside over 23 teams from all over the world, all vying for the title of ultimate winner of the Dilmah Real High Tea Global Challenge – the Toughest Tea Challenge in the World.  A 21st century Real Tea Inspired High Tea is the expectation, the possibilities of course, stretch on as far as the mind can fathom. Entry is open to professional culinary teams from establishments including hotels, resorts, restaurants and culinary schools. Each team must consist of two people: a Chef and a Food & Beverages person. Will Sri Lanka sweep the judges off their feet or will they leave with a new perspective of a humble herb that is all too familiar? Only time will tell.
